With the fern and oak leaves I picked on the weekend I made another dye bath. I used cotton with a soya mordant and Madrid water for the bath. The result ... brown again.
I'm going to keep trying with different mordants, fabric and purified water and see if there are any changes.
I am so interested to see your experiments with natural dyes. Are you using any reference books?
